I’m Dr. Sonny Thammasouk, DACM, LAc, a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Oregon and a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) serving the greater Portland area. I also work as a Chinese Cosmology consultant, specializing in BaZi, Yi Jing, and Classical Feng Shui.

I received my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and I hold an Herbal Compounding and Safety Certification through the NCCAOM. My Classical Feng Shui training is through the Raymond Lo School of Feng Shui and Destiny with Master Jen Stone, and my BaZi training has been with Dr. Manfred Kubny and Master Jen Stone. The Yi Jing has been part of my personal practice since 2000.

Eastern culture, especially the Chinese flavor, has influenced my life since the early 1980s. My family traveled from Southern China, through Southeast Asia, and finally to the Pacific Northwest, all within a couple of generations. Growing up multilingual gave me a rich myriad of perspectives from both “Far East” and Western worldviews, which shapes how I approach care today.

I believe movement is key to living a long, fulfilling life. I’m an avid tennis player, travel as often as I can, and support all styles of dance. We should all be walking more (if able)! Recreationally, I enjoy Traditional Chinese Archery, West Coast Swing and Latin dancing, standup paddleboarding, and seeking delicious meals.
